Class 101

Class 101 is a basic introduction to our church family and is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. We also call it our membership class. It is a great way to learn more about the direction and purpose of our church. During this class, we will cover the basics of salvation, our structure, and the strategy behind what we do at Southside. At the conclusion of each Class 101, participants will have the opportunity to join our church. If you are interested in joining Southside or would like more information about us, this is the class for you.

Class 201

Class 201 is all about spiritual growth. We sometimes call this our maturity class. It is the class where we learn how to develop the spiritual habits of time in God's Word, Scripture memorization, prayer, tithing, and fellowship. At the conclusion of each Class 201, participants will be asked to make a commitment to developing the habits of effective Christians into their own lives. If your desire is to grow in your relationship with Christ, this is the class you've been waiting for.

Class 301

Class 301 is an in-depth study of ministry. We believe that every member of our church should be a minister too, and that's what class 301 is all about. It's an exciting, fast-paced class, designed to help you discover you SHAPE for ministry at Southside. If you're wondering why SHAPE is capitalized, let me tell you. It's an acrostic, and your SHAPE is a combination of your Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences.

We believe that God gave you a special ability when you started following Him. We call this a spiritual gift. God gives us this gift to build up our church family and reach out to the world with Christ's love. God also gives each of us a unique passion or heart for particular activities, subjects, and circumstances. God uses those things we feel deeply about to show us where we can serve without quickly burning out. We've also been given unique natural abilities that God can use in ministry. God wants to use your one-of-a-kind personality to minister to people, and there is a reason you've been through some of the experiences you've been through. God wants to use your experiences to help heal hurts in your church and in your community. You are made for ministry and this class is your ticket to understanding where you can be most valuable.
